Problems with the heating/air conditioning, shower working properly and water temperatures, window blinds missing slats, lack of being able to get help finding way around the facility, finding someone has been in my apartment without my knowing about it ahead of time, finding someone willing to help with hooking up the TV, how to use the equipment in the exercise area, answer questions about finding/selecting a doctor or lawyer and how to go about transferring Rx's to here from Oregon, how to get help in selling my home in Oregon while I am here. The staff and administration seem to feel that if a person is here as an independent living person that they are to give no assistance whatever which is not what people usually do in real life as most people are willing to help out others when they need it or ask for help. This place seems to think you are independent so figure it out for yourself. Also, the food is not something to be proud of nor even share with your friends and visitors.\nI think that the most valuable asset that Brookdale Santa Catalina has, or I should say had was[name removed] as he has since moved on. What a shame.\nOverall, I think a lot, a whole lot, could be done to improve the situation here because it has a lot going for it.
