American House

Since I live in the area and know people who have lived here, it was as I expected and everyone is very friendly. One of the residents let me tour their apartment. I got all the paperwork. There seems to be a 9month waiting list. I recommend this for anyone wishing a better place to stay for senior retirement. When we visited the dining room, something they were cooking smelled delicious.

After more than 20 years in the senior living industry, I can confidently say this assisted living community truly stands out. From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel the energy — it’s full of life, laughter, and meaningful engagement. The residents aren’t just cared for — they are known, valued, and encouraged to live fully. The activity calendar is robust and thoughtfully designed, with something happening throughout the day that brings people together and keeps them engaged. It’s not just “busy”; it’s vibrant. The team demonstrates genuine compassion and professionalism. Staff members interact with residents in a way that feels personal and respectful, which speaks volumes about the culture of the community. Families are welcomed as partners, and communication is consistent and transparent. What impresses me most, especially after two decades in this field, is the atmosphere. It feels warm, positive, and purposeful.

I had recently had surgery, and they graciously provided a wheelchair for me for my tour. The place is bigger than I expected, but neat as a pin, and very well organized. Decor was pleasant, and the furnishings comfortable in the common areas. When passing through the dining area, kitchen staff was heard talking with each other pleasantly.

The tour leader, [Name Removed] was very helpful to answer mom’s questions. She helped getting mom around and made her feel comfortable and welcome.

Thanks for the help it was wonderful and I could not have gotten done what I did without you guidance I would recommend you to anyone that is looking to a place for a loved one

We had the BEST guide through the facility. We saw everything we needed and wanted to, and the facility is lovely. We aren’t sure it’s the best fit for us, but it is a wonderful facility.

She's the one who talked me through everything and she helped get my dad a haircut and she spent a lot of time checking in with me and helping me navigate. Also the staff seems very invested in getting to know my dad and any question or help that I need, they respond immediately

Activities Outings Communication with Staff the best also problem solving. I have nothing to say about American House Cedarlake but wonderful.

[names removed] worked hard to get our business, and were easy to work with. Moving a loved one to assisted living, or moving from one community to another, can be stressful for a family. I think [names removed]understood that but also had a realistic view about things like retaining good staff. Communication is key; if I called with a question I was able to get a prompt answer. So far mom is happy with the move!

These ratings are based off of our 1 month experience so far. The staff is empathetic and truly want to develop a relationship with the family of the resident. They treat each resident with respect.

The overall experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our move-in and initial adjustment for my mom. The food is great with many options being offered. The cleanliness of the facility is a high priority of the staff and it is reflected in their diligence and attention to every detail. I am so happy we chose American House as a place for our mother. This decision is never easy, but the staff at American House has definitely helped in the transition.

Smaller facility suits my mom, who uses a walker and gets easily disoriented. Much of the staff has been there for years. They are kind and patient with the residents. They make sure my mother doesn't stay in her room, as she would without their intervention. They encourage her to get out, but they don't force her to do activities she doesn't want to do.

Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable assisting me with gathering information. We're not currently needing a facility but currently gathering information and knowledge so if the time comes we're ready.

Very nice place. The people who work here are amazing and so helpful. The food is excellent and there are so many activities to get involved with. I am very happy that I moved here and that A Place For Mom recommended it to us.

All of the staff have been so helpful and kind to my father and our family. The facility is always very clean , and his private room is just the right size. They help Dad with showering, dressing, and daily needs. We have stayed for meals with him and the food is always really good. They also provide snacks. They have daily activities for the residents. My Dad's favorite is when a man comes to play guitar and sing with them. You can tell that the staff love the residents by the way they interact and care for them. We have been so happy with our decision to place Dad in the care of American House in Murfreesboro. We would definitely recommend you visiting and considering American House if you have a family member in need of placement.

Enjoyed the tour and lunch. Had lots of options in housing and additions. Very friendly staff and some unknown residents came up to us and declared how much they enjoyed living there. It would be on my list when our time gets closer. Not ready yet.

American House is more than wonderful! Food here is excellent, villa apts are adequate, people are very nice.
