Great place for my Mom

The everyday staff I would give a 5. Administration a 3. The care workers and front desk workers are excellent and very friendly. Administration is friendly but, not the best at communicating. Dining is good. Activities are good and plentiful. Size of my mom's room is good, for her needs. I highly recommend Symphony of Linden.

generally happy as we were unable to care for her before.

People are very friendly, but like any Assisted Living facility, they are understaffed. The rooms could be cleaned more often and sometimes the clothing comes up missing. That being said, Linden is safe and the people there care for her very much.

Welcoming and stimulating setting and well staffed

They offer limited Medicaid accommodation, seemingly lacking or in need of improvement for families with a resident needing memory care or with dementia. The staff is very welcoming and there is a lot of stimulation. I am not there a lot but have seen very basic iceberg lettuce type salads and my mother commented the meal food is underwhelming, not of a quality she would like. They do a weekly happy hour and that finger food has gotten good marks

Respite stay [date removed]

My mother did okay for this being the first time she has stayed anywhere. She felt the staff were very kind to her. I ran into to some issues with paperwork, and hearing back so close to the day she was suppose to be there to get more stuff from her doctor. Then the day I got there they said I could not leave baby spring or vitamins. Also had an issue with being double billed. They did resolve the pretty quickly. I would definitely consider using them again. They just need to figure out some of their admissions paper work.

Review for Symphony Linden

The aids and staff are wonderful and take pride in their work. Don't take anything valuable or sentimental because items go missing regularly. The food is so so. A lot of times it doesn't look appealing and my dad doesn't care for most meals. I wish they had some live entertainment- their activities need more variety. The room is nice and they keep the facility clean and decorated. After 2 months, my dad seems happy there and says he is well taken care of.

Friendly Staff

Everyone is very nice. Unfortunately, a little short staffed. She has spent time in skilled nursing due to a fractured hip. I like the fact that they will take her to her doctor's appointment because she was in skilled nursing. They also have a fine staff for physical therapy.

Easy to work with

Caring, helpful, hard working staff. Easy to work with. As with any facility, always be present in loved ones care to stay on top of things. My dad is well taken care for with no major issues to report. I would recommend Symphony Linden to others looking.

Home like experience

My mom and Dad had a terrible experiences at [removed]. During our search to move them out of the bad experiences we came across Symphony. [names removed] and others have been very kind to my mom and Dad. They took care of my Dad in the last weeks of his life. I believe [name removed] and staff actually care about people. They make an effort to hire caring individuals. They understand what family is about and now our family has grown. I’m not saying it has been perfect but they handle any issues very quickly and with care. I rest at night knowing my mom is being taken care of and has what she needs.

Nice facility with new management and lots of potential

My father-in-law started living at Symphony Linden in March 2024 and we are thankful we found this facility for him. He has been there a few months now and is settled in and enjoying it. He especially likes physical therapy and the field trips. He is a particular eater and we are thankful they have an à la cart menu that allows him options. Symphony Linden has been going through a management shift since my father in law moved in so we had a slow start, but overall we are happy with his care, and he is happy there which is most important. My main point of criticism would be that I think they could use some electronic systems that would make it easier for family to keep up-to-date with medical information and the social calendar. I currently feel a bit disconnected and the only way to get information is to call and directly ask for it.

The Caretel inns of Brighton would have been very convenient for us if they had an opening. The place was very nice and the people were very friendly. We ended up going with the Caretel in Linden because we liked the vibe from the Caretel's.

So far so good at Care-Tel

These are my first impressions of Care-Tel after two months of service for my mother. While she was initially apprehensive, my mom is very appreciative of the care she is getting. She likes the food, and someone regularly checks up on her. Care-Tel is quiet and orderly. The caregivers seem well-trained, friendly, and generally attentive. Of course, I would appreciate them to be even more attentive, as my mom struggles with her dementia and is quite withdrawn. The medical staff is available and knowledgeable. Management seems professional and courteous. This is a large facility, but each of several sections are somewhat independent. It is spacious and clean, and the caregivers keep their daily responsibilities on a good schedule, as far as I can tell. Meals are prompt. My mom is not yet brave enough to jump into the activities, but they, too, seem to be well-coordinated and prompt. Guests seem to get the attention they need, but in our case, I would like them to be more assertive in their encouragement. I appreciate the effort put forth by this staff. With many variations of guests to support, I have yet to hear even a hint of exasperation from any employee. For my mom here at Care-Tel, so far so good.

Tour for family

We were at this community for a short time for care. It was not a good time when we were here . The staff were nice, but sometimes they were late on getting her medication .The meals need some improvement. We would suggest that other families tour this community for the care that is available for a loved one.

They offer a lot of activities such as cocktail hour and demonstrations!!!

Mom is improving physically at Caretel. We did have a minor issue with some of her medication doses, however they have worked to correct his issue. I have not seen any registered nurses in the assisted living wing. The community is nice but I think the housekeeping could be a little better. They do not have a lot of food options but the food is good. I am not sure I would recommend this community. I would say to do your homework when looking into this community.

Short staff always. Laundry awful and the food is awful.

My mom closet is full of clothes that are not hers. We label all her clothes so that's not not working. I had lunch with her and the food was awful and cold. I see staff sitting around on phones not helping
