Terrace Communities

The facility is very clean and is furnished beautifully, which gives it an excellent first impression. But, more importantly, every staff member we have interacted with is very caring and concerned about my mother-in-law. They treat her with respect and kindness. The activities are varied, and the activities director and other staff try hard to get her involved in the social activities. She is way more active than she was at home, watching tv most days. Her studio apartment, although not huge, is spacious enough for her to have two bookcases and three comfortable chairs, along with her twin bed, bureau and night stand. We can't really comment on the food since she is a very picky eater and doesn't eat much. She just says it's okay. Overall, we are very pleased with her situation there.

Great place and people very caring there and really care about your loved one! Always pleasant and decorated beautifully! Hope I never have to go to place but that's where I'd I want to go! No question !

I would give all categories a 5 except for 8 value and u would give that a 4 cause it's expensive. But my overall experience there has been fantastic. My mom loves living there the staff is amazing they are kind and attentive and have lots of interesting and varied activities. It's really a fantastic community.

They have lots of activities. Mother is in a wheelchair and is still able to enjoy activities, out to concerts, ice cream, lunch, shopping,trips to local parks, and museums off the premises as well as entertainment that comes into the facility. The fact that mom says she is just is so happy there and made the right choice says it all.

Windham terrace, has been a great place for [name removed]. The memory care unit has excellent staff of long tenure and is very very clean and well organized. The furnishings are pleasant and comfortable. The meals have been popular with her and all in all it has been a very positive experience. Medication adjustments have been carefully attended to and the results have been very good. I would strongly recommend the facility.

Management is very assessable to discuss the issues. Very accommodating about visitation and flexible regards taking patient out for days at a time. Staff is supportive, understanding and able and willing to assist in all areas of care, even the most humiliating circumstances.

Since it is a private vs corporate facility, they don't charge as much as surrounding places. They have assisted living and memory care units. Smaller facility, more attention. Lots of family gatherings. A monthly family Zoom followed up with a newsletter about what the Zoom told people about any changes happening or feedback they've been receiving or upcoming events. A large daily offering of various things for residents to participate in. Families are given the cell numbers of administrative staff so you can text or call if needed. They are very responsive.

The staff is excellent, and the facility is well maintained. Windham has the feeling of a country inn rather than a big commercial assisted living facility. The grounds are very nice with plenty of outdoor sitting areas.

My cousin is 89 and needed to move to memory care. She has some difficult behaviors but with the good staff she has acclimated and is doing very well. The place is pretty and clean and staff seem terrific. The food seems good and nutritious. There are activities she enjoys and a pretty garden attached. All good.

The meals have improved, but there could more activities on the weekends. The staff members are friendly, they are responsive to feedback and [name removed] thr new director is awesome. The community is also clean. We would recommend this community to other families.

Any issues that I had were addressed immediately. The room was always clean and laundry done promptly. I found the evening meals bland, sometimes served late; leaving sandwiches dry and hot meals cold. I never shared breakfast or noon meals with mom, so can't comment on quality. Communication of family events should improve. I always found out too late to participate. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others.

Scarborough Terrace is a small family run group of facilities. It's very evident that the staff are tight knit. Many have worked there for several years. This translate into great, personalized care for residents and families. One of the things that really stood out for our family is he fact that after 2 years of residency, the facility reduces the monthly fees which really helps with longer term budgeting.

I am so thankful for A Place For Mom suggesting that I contact Scarborough Terrace. We love Scarborough Terrace. My mom is well taken care of and it is easy for me to communicate with staff about her needs. They involve families with a monthly Zoom forum and a monthly in-person gathering with some special entertainment or activity. The cost is significantly lower than other surrounding places because it is not a huge corporation. We are pleased with all of their services.

My mom is currently a resident at Scarborough Terrace. The staff is attentive to the residents' needs and her room is always clean as well as the living areas of the facility. My mom seems happy with the meals. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

My loved one's and family's experience has been excellent with Scarborough. The staff are kind and caring towards the residents. The staff communication with the family has been excellent when we have questions about our loved one.

Make sure you add Scarborough Terrace to your list of places to visit. It was wonderful for our family. It's smaller than most places, so it's a good fit for people who don't want to compete for attention - nobody gets lost in the shuffle here. Our loved one didn't complain about hte food. And they offered lots of activities for the residents.

We toured Scarborough Terrace and the place was great. I was a newer and more modern facility. The staff were wonderful and it seemed like they offered a lot of amenities. The one downfall for my mother was the fact that the rooms did not have kitchenettes/sinks. This meant she would have to go eat every meal in the dining room and she likes to eat in her room and be able to heat things up, keep food in the freezer, etc. Other than that it was a great facility.

We had a great tour experience with Scarborough Terrace. All of the staff were lovely - but it was just not the right fit for my loved one. It came down to the level of care, what she felt most comfortable with, and the size of the rooms and she just felt another facility that we had looked into fit what she was looking for a bit better.

The community is able to assist my loved one with hygiene, bathing, and medication management. The staff are very good towards the family and really care for the residents. The community is very nice. The staff and aides are very courteous to each other. The food is pretty good for the residents. It looks appetizing. The monthly fee includes, laundry, additional care, medication, meals, housekeeping, and mind assistance program, that is all included in the fee. Windham Terrace works well with hospice.
