Carlisle palm beach is turning out to be one of the worse decision we have made...From the flood that happen in June which was not handle properly by Senior Living and their national contractor Blue Team who lied to us and let us stay in the apt as mold levels kept increasing and when we finally did our own testing the recommendation was that we vacate immediately and Senior Living put us in a smaller apt in sept and it is now Dec and they have done nothing in our apt to waiting over an hour for assisted when you ring help as a resident at the Carlisle I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy

This place was absolutely awful for my grandmother. She was not happy and they did not attend to her needs. They were very slow with everything they did and she has reported to me before that the nurses acted like she was burden and were not nice at all. My grandmother recently passed 2 days ago. When she did, she was not at this facility so we had to get her stuff from there. We were not allowed to go into her room but instead the staff there threw her things in some boxes and left them in a room near the back for us to get. They were not sympathetic at all and treated her things and her as if they were garbage. Do not send anyone here, you will regret your decision for the rest of your life and you can’t undo it.

Would not recommend and we moved our Mother to another facility. They do not clean the rooms, staff (nurses and admin) along with some CNA's are rude and inattentive, food is awful. They increased the rate by $400 a month stating Mom required add'l services but offered none.

My husband is handicap and we move to the Carlisle because it look like a beautiful place to live but as we found out the hard way all that glitter isn't gold. Our apartment is on the second floor of the assistant living side and this summer June to be exact someone on the fifth floor set off the sprinkler system. flooded that whole side from fifth floor to first floor. The company that owns the Carlisle decided to cut every corner possible in repairing the damage. With my husband has a suppressed immune system we kept asking Blue Team that is the company who improperly repaired the damage and Blue Team assure us that everything was being taken care of so we believe them. We endured two months of workman, dehumidifiers and construction. once they were done we again ask if any mold testing would be done and if we could see the result their respond was "that information would not be accessible to us" I started getting sick so my husband took matters into his own hands and had the apt tested for mold it turn out we had been living with toxic levels of mold for two months.. so if you are looking for a place for a love taking from someone who actually live here look some where else the Carlisle had to do something so they move us to a other part of the building unto they cold repair the mess they made well it is now 6 months later and we are still waiting to get back into our apt .. I've hire a lawyer ..so remember all that glitter isn't gold

Please read this before you decide to place your loved ones in memory care at The Carlisle. I wish I had known beforehand the devastation that this would have on our 85 year old dad, a 20 year US Air Force test and fighter pilot and Korean War veteran. Dad has advanced dementia/Alzheimer’s disease and sometimes becomes agitated and combative. After our mother passed away in May 2014, I moved Dad down to South Florida to live in The Carlisle near me so I could visit him almost every day. We also hired 24/7 private aides to care for him at that facility. Perhaps being too new to memory care, The Carlisle has some untrained aides and nurses as it relates to defusing agitation/aggression. There are also some that are very good and are experienced and caring. At the end of January of 2015, unfortunately, The Carlisle felt they should call 911 as Dad became combative and the police report showed they were called about a “mentally ill person” and Baker-Acted him. I wish they had just told me to come and pick him up and never bring him back and I would have complied without hesitation. We were in the process of trying to get his meds right. A nightmare ensued of a total of 18 days in the hospital (2 ½ days in the psyche unit completely drugged) and 6 weeks later he is still in rehab trying to learn how to walk again. He lost 25 pounds, developed an infection and, mysteriously, acquired an acute fractured rib while in the 1st hospital visit. Please find out if any ALF that you are considering will handle these situations where your loved one and family might be put in the same devastating and life altering situation that our family is now in. I understand that a Florida representative is working on a new bill to present hopefully at the next session to change the laws of Baker-Acting dementia/Alzheimer’s patients.

Quail Haven Village in Pinehurst, NC is horrible. My father was admitted for rehab on Friday, November 14, 2014. I work and stay in Raleigh during the week and came down Friday night to see him. I was a bit concerned by all the white call lights on and skeleton staff. He was asleep and I spoke briefly to the night nurse who seemed aware of my father’s condition. I returned on Saturday, November 15, 2014. The staff had let my father sit in his feces for hours after "forgetting" he had called. When I asked the nurse to clean him up, she accused him of not pressing the call button and began to argue with me. At one point, five staff members were yelling at me in the hall. They refused to clean up my father until I "treated them with respect". They don't accurately record when they give him his pain medications and when I asked to see the paper records, they refused. Staff falsifies records. I had to ask for my father's catheter bag to be emptied since it was full, the supervisor said her "records" showed that I "demanded" the staff empty his bag when it was only 200. I informed her the bag was at 2000 not 200 and suggested their record-keeping was not adequate. She again denied any staff malfeasance. I said, "OK, don't believe, I'll just take photos the next time." The supervisor told me that I was "not allowed to take photographs." The staff members removed their nametags and refused to speak with either my father or me and the same woman who started the argument with me gave us multiple names (Wanda and Pearl). I recorded a conversation in which the supervisor, Joan Vasilik, told me that I am "not allowed to ask staff members their names" which is a violation of NC Law 90-640. Identification badges required. The place reeks of urine and feces. After my altercation, I left for a few hours. When I returned, the "nurse" who started the argument with me went into my father's room and yelled at him. Apparently, the staff is taking their anger out on my father, took his water mug away and “forgot” to return it for two hours. They refused to provide him with extra pillows so I brought some from home. Rooms have no phones so patients/inmates can't call for family to help them. The food is ALWAYS served cold, the food is inedible and the food service people are annoyed when you ask them to reheat it. Until we can get him out of this hellhole, we're providing his food. To summarize: Only put your elderly here if you hate them and want them to suffer. Staff forges records. Patients have no way to call for help. Staff turns off call buttons. Staff denies errors. Staff argues and refuses to provide basic services. Staff is sloppy with distribution of pain medications. Staff refuses to wear nametags or identify themselves. Supervisors aren't interested in improving staff, just protecting them. Staff is used to bullying old people with diminished mental capabilities. Food is sub-standard and served cold.
