Independence Village of Aurora is amazing! [name removed] at Independence has been very helpful and understanding of our needs. We know Independence Village of Aurora has everything my mother-in-law needs to help her be well cared for and to thrive.

She got the smallest studio and it was the perfect size for her. Everyone knows her name and checks in on her. Activities -(She won't really join in because that's not her personality but I have taken her to several events and was very pleased with them! Her friend goes to many activities and raves about it! The general area is very clean. She gets housekeeping every other week and it's pretty good but definitely dependent on which person does the cleaning. They sometimes miss doing many of the bathroom items, which I feel is probably the most important part.

Everyone there is very nice. My mom has one of the bigger apartments and it is great for her.

The community feels warm and comfortable, more like a real home than a facility. The staff are kind, attentive, and always make sure the residents feel at home. There’s always something going on, with a variety of activities and social events that give residents chances to stay active both physically and socially. The food has improved, with a variety of meals being added to the menu. The food is enjoyable and well made. Offering meals that residents look forward to.

The staff is flexible and helpful. It is always clean. They've handled several challenges with grace and empathy. The Staff is fabulous. I should have moved my mom in sooner.

We need to know the proper procedures for obtaining meals when we're not well, times and days for using the facility bus, better understanding of in-home (on-site) health care provisions and limitations, to name a few. Our building manager is poor at implementing and following-through on requested items he's promised to take care of.

My dad was very happy, unfortunately he wasn't able to do any activities but there was always something for everyone every day. What we like the most about the community is the Friendly staff - my dad really didn't have a chance to experience the full offerings and required a lot of care so he really appreciated the level of care during his time and everyone doing their best

I would give Pinebrook a 5 in each of those categories except for Value and Administrative Staff. I would rate them at a 3 & only because the initial intake exam was so remarkably far off from the level of care the patient needed. I wish the staff had given a more realistic assessment of the costs for care. The increase in cost from month 1 to month 2 literally took our breath away.

I was impressed with the rooms and how homey it seems !!! Clean and how they serve meals also I liked. But the overall design of the community feel is great. To improve ... apparently my sister found some of mama's pills on the floor . Mama can be tricky though .

I don't have to cook anymore! The food is okay and the caregivers are good! I like the activities. My favorite activity is any time there is music! I feel safe at Woodlawn Meadows. Overall, living here has been a good experience!

We have had a great experience at Story Pointe. My mother is settling in nicely and everyone is really nice. Everyone knows her name and her needs. They do a great job checking on her. They manage her medication and always make sure she is eating. Overall it has been a very good experience.

We are not sure about the care services yet, ,y parents will be moving in sometime this month. We are also unsure about the meals and dining, the activities (though their activity calendar looks great) or the value for cost. What really stood out to us was that it was clean and nicely decorated. The rooms were more spacious than any of the others we saw. That was important to my Mom. Our tour with [name removed] was wonderful. She was informative and friendly. We spoke with a few residents and they had nothing but positive comments.

Our family loves Story Point, Clinton Township! We have trusted the Memory Care team with our most treasured family member and we have never had to worry about her care. [name removed] the Wellness director is amazing, she is adding new ideas constantly to make things easier for the residents and the families. If we have any questions or a concern about our loved one, she along with [name removed] and her team have always addressed it quickly and satisfactorily. We have always diffidently felt heard which is huge when you have someone in memory care. The entire team at Story Point is amazing and have always treated our entire family, especially our precious mom as one of their own family members. We’re so grateful for this place and the way they treat everyone. It always feels like we’re going to visit our extended family when we walk in those doors!

What we like the most about the community is their friendly staff, the wide halls which makes it feel large. It is a newer building that provides housekeeping, shuttle and many activities as part of monthly fee.

Our mother has been in this community for a little over 4 months now and we are very happy and pleased on how she has adjusted. It was a major move for our mom, but she is doing very well. The facility is very clean and they do a tremendous job with holiday decorations and events. Also, we find the food to be very good and a nice variety. Overall, her experience has met / exceeded our expectations.

Toured StoryPoint Medina this summer while researching care facilities for my 80 year old mother. StoryPoint was far and away the best facility we visited in the region. New, clean and well maintained with a competent and caring staff. We moved mom into StroyPoint in August and it has continued to exceed our expectations. She is happy and considers it “home.”

[removed name] and the staff at Story Point are unparalleled. I felt as if I were on vacation while touring the facility. The residents were so happy, you could feel the positive energy in the room. I can’t say enough about my experience!

It has been a wonderful experience for my wife and myself to live at StoryPoint. The top leadership people are wonderful. I highly recommend Storypoint to my friends.
