I placed my loved one here when his Alzheimer’s had progressed to the point that I could no longer safely care for him at home.He lived in the memory care unit for six months until his death. The proximity of the facility to my home far outweighed my concerns regarding the level of staffing and care. The caregivers and the staff were caring and kind, and truly care about the residents. Unfortunately, this is a small town in a remote area and it is hard to retain good staff. The facility simply doesn’t have enough people. Sometimes I felt that the caregivers were overwhelmed. The activity director is amazing, but she needs an assistant. It would be great if someone with a medical background were on staff as well. These are just my observations. If, heaven forbid, I had to do this all over again, I would still have placed my husband here.

The environment is very good. Director position has turned over(on third one), but fortunately they have all been good fits.

The facility was very accommodating on our moving schedule. They even allowed us to move somethings in before our move in date. The maintenance staff is really busy so it took some time to get some things done; they were done within a couple weeks. These issues did not prevent any safety or move in issues. They seem to be a little shorthanded on the weekends to get help quickly.

4.5 stars. The staff was awesome. My dad was there for a a month before he passed. It was a very rough road at the end. But the staff and the community were really helpful and compassionate. They understood the dementia was doing its thing.

We picked this community, because of the price, straight forward agreement- no extra fees, newness, and it was close to home/convenience. I would tell friends/family that I like that it's new and updated so my loved one doesn't feel like she got stuck in an "old folks home". The agreement/fees are better than most others and the basic staff is fun and friendly. Ownership, and management can improve by being more responsive.

We picked this community because overall I liked the personal attention that they give to my loved one, and they work with her. They have been very friendly. They don't have much turnover. They been pretty good. I would recommend to other families.

My loved one had issues with their plumbing and heating . Dripping faucet and furnace that kept on running without kicking off . They have fixed the issues but it was very frustrating for my loved one . The community try's to keep my loved one in the loop of any events or special things going on on certain days . They have friendly staff.

It is a small community and they don't have the best communication with the family. The family is finding out information about our loved one through a web portal whether than the staff. The care for the community and residents isn't as expected. There have been times we have to let the staff know of a residents needing assistance or where they need to clean better.

Based on our experience so far with The Iris we would recommend this community to others, they have a lot of different activities going on for all of us to take advantage of

Their staff cares for my loved one and tried to engage her. Overall they are a bit understaffed but they have some really great people there.

If you have the money this is the best community in town for your loved one. They have activities like card games, games projects and more for the residents to do. The activities are really good and I like them.

I like the place. It's charming yet realistic. It's not brand new, but then you're not paying for brand new either. The experience is pretty good. I think it's better than my loved one does, but she would complain about anywhere. I get along really well with the people there. They treat me really well. I would maybe like to see more activities and more things for the residents to do to keep boredom at bay. And my loved one would also like to see them follow through on care a little bit quicker. Little things like getting her toenails clipped more often, help finding her remote control or getting it replaced. Just follow through on little things like that. Overall I think they're pretty good.

We toured Grand Villa and it was an older, more run down facility. But the tour was good.

Copper was a nice but they didn't have the staff to assist moving my loved one. Plus they wanted us to furnish the furnishings.

Very informative tour the facility appears to be well maintained. I have a problem with he double occupancy of having to pass thru another residences space to ge to the back room. I am also looking at the Retreat facilities. Contacting Social /Services to begin the process for Medicaid supplement. Thanks for your time I will let you know my desires in a week or two.

I think it is a great place. The staff is friendly. They have done a good job with Covid 19 keeping people safe. The food is good. The room sizes are pretty good. They have an outdoor courtyard in the middle of the building for residents.

If you are in need of 24/7 care for a loved one, you may want to check out Traditions of La Crescent. Our mother, who has Alzheimers is there and we find the staff at Traditions to be understanding and caring. Our mom is liking the meals and the many activities that they provide; such as coloring, doing her nails, exercising, playing games, etc.. They usually have musical groups come in; however, during the corona virus situation, that has been stopped for the time being. She has her own room which has her full size bed and two dressers, her rocking chair and two conversational chairs with plenty of room to spare. She also has her own bathroom. We are very pleased with their handling of circumstances during this difficult time of the corona virus. We can call there and they will take the phone to our mom or set up a face chat with her. Our thanks to all staff at Traditions for your kind and beautiful hearts.

Very nice! Clean and Neat! Staff was very Congeneal, and Facility was up-to-date. The apartments were very tiny,and there was no storage, or room for storage. The meal plan was simple. Living quarters size was a real problem!

We had been touring communities for awhile and when it came down to the time when we had to make a decision cost and location were factors and this community met both our requirements. Dad is not going to be happy other than at home. The staff here is very kind and friendly. The community is well cared for always looks clean. The food seems to be good. I am pleased with the care my dad is getting and that makes me feel confident we made the right choice.

This was a community I was considering moving my husband too, it is a nice option. Our tour of it went well. Everyone was friendly to my husband, and I. The community looked great from what we saw. The staff was polite, and our questions were answered. The experience went very well, but I did find another that suited our needs better.
