Merrill Gardens

I found that everything on balance is pretty good. The facility, the staff, especially the personal care that my mother receives from Saving Grace. It's also a lot of value for the money in that you cost a lot less than everybody else, including other Merrill properties.

[name removed] is very happy at Merrill Gardens and has been there for over two years now.

Everyone is nice and helpful. I would recommend to others.

They are constantly looking out for the residents. The facility is newly updated. Mom and her husband are very happy being there.

Staff is very accommodating and helpful. Complex is kept very clean. I would recommend.

Right now my views on Merrill are in flux. I sent a Valentines floral gift. My card was removed and placed in someone's office! I was told that flowers were no longer allowed. OK, only a bit of notice would have been nice. My step sister had to go in and demand the flowers. Prior issues were some one left the company and a lengthy email was sent out. Not sure why I got one. My favorite care giver left. Seems like their are a lot of management issues. Very unprofessional. I would say people, staff, not management, a 5. My stepmother is in the Garden area, a man across the hall is obsessed with her. He enters her room, sits on her, scares her. He has stolen things from her room. No one seems concerned. That is bothersome, to say the least. The staff is powerless.

Murano is a lovely facility with all the amenities, and then some, one could want. The staff was very welcoming and kind, making us feel comfortable at this challenging time.

my mother-in-law loves her apartment. She has a large covered and uncovered deck with access from the living room and bedroom. She loves being able to see the activity on the street and regularly uses the PT, OT, hair/nail salon, and movie theater opportunities. She has the space and equipment to make most of her own meals and be very independent. Her room size is just under 600 ft.², I believe, and is a comfortable space Yvonne and Evan at the front desk are amazing, as is Mike the driver! They recently remodeled the common area. It is bright and cheery, and it always spells pleasant here.

The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. They made me feel welcome and provided excellent service.

This is an exemplary community! The community is extremely clean, and very well taken care of. Attention to detail is at the forefront with maintenance & staff. All employees are very loving and know & watch out for each resident. And the activities, are first class! The kitchen and activity director go over and above to make holidays and events extra special for residence and their families. My aunt has been a part of this community for well over 2 years and I visit 2-3X a week. I cannot say enough good about this community.

Merrill Gardens is a beautiful community. The staff and residents are helpful and friendly. We like how the food is served restaurant style so there are lots of options and people can eat on their own schedules. The apartment we saw was nice with a wide hallway and roomy bathroom that can eaily fit a wheelchair or walker. The building is fairly new. There is transportation and loads of activities. We ended up choosing this wonderful assisted living for our mom.

All leadership staff goes above and beyond to make the residents feel comfortable, safe and secure. The dining room servers do an outstanding job of helping the residents. I’ve lived at Mission Ridge since they opened and feel confident in saying I chose the best community!

The staff is all very polite and helpful. The food is decent. Only complaint I have is the internal. It doesn't work more then half the time. Get about hour a day. Which really makes me upset

We met with [name removed]and he was GREAT!! Very personable, knowledgeable and could answer all our questions regarding care and pricing. The facility is somewhat older but it was CLEAN, smelled FRESH an was tastefully decorated. When showing us around the facility he knew the residents by name and brief conversations about their friends or family. We were visiting just after lunch a the food smelled amazing!! I have family who work as EMTs a now using home health care for my mom and they all LOVE TRUEWOOD! Because they are in an out of the facility basically unannounced and at all times, they say it is always like that!!

[name removed] was very helpful and gave me excellent information, guidance and accommodating anticipated needs of my family member. The facility is very homey and inviting, nicely decorated. Activities offered and menu seem appealing to a variety of tastes.

I've already have recommended it to others. Excellent. It's all about the staff. They sometimes call me to inform me of my mom's needs.

I would give them all a 5. They do charge more than I was quoted at the beginning. But she's very well taken care of and that makes everything penny worth it. Yes we would most definitely recommend this community to other families.

My parents are very happy with the facility with the exception of the food. TruWood is unique in that they have several small dining rooms per floor, but the food is made in a central kitchen. Therefore the food is prepared and held in warmers for transport, then sometimes reheated for serving making the meat often overcooked. With that being said, the facility is wonderful, quaint and family feel. The staff is delightful. There are many activities scheduled throughout the week to participate in. They even invite family members for special dinners. If you are looking for a smaller, family feeling type of facility rather than larger institutional, TruWood is your answer.

Wonderful people, beautiful facilities, excellent food and a variety of activities. I would recommend Truewood.

[name removed] was kind, warm, patient, and helpful. The food from the scratch kitchen is delicious. The available 2br/2bath apartment on the 3rd floor is a much lower rent than units with a full kitchen and washer/dryer so the monthly costs are feasible for my parents.
