Brookdale

I worked with Brookdale Bloomsburg over the past week to find placement for my grandmother and came away genuinely grateful. From the first call onward, communication was prompt, clear, and kind. The community felt calm, clean, and welcoming. The sales manager deserves special thanks. She was wonderful—patient, dignifying, and consistently helpful. She answered every question, walked me through levels of care and pricing without any pressure, and was transparent about safety and clinical fit. While our situation ultimately wasn’t appropriate for personal care, the guidance we received was thoughtful and honest. I would recommend Brookdale Bloomsburg without hesitation to families considering this level of support. Integrity and compassion like this are rare.

The tour went well. First we chatted about my loved one and myself, his wife. We surveyed the building and discussed the daily routines and some of the positive effects on the patients. Will tour once more with my daughters before my decision.

My tour of the Brookdale Carriage was very informative. My daughter wants to come back with me to see it. I’m very interested. Unfortunately I’m getting ready to have back surgery so it will be a little while. It’s a lovely place.

My family and I have recently toured Brookdale Henderson, and were very impressed by the facility, but mostly by the staff. Everyone was kind, compassionate, and respectful of our feelings and our needs. Therefore, I made the decision to place our loved one there, so we could be close by and visit as much as we possibly could. We are very happy with the treatment and support for our family member. I haven’t regretted that decision for one second.

After becoming very unhappy with the residence we had our mother in after a director and other staffing changes and a $[removed]K hike in prices which added nothing to quality of life for resident we found [name removed] and she found us several places but we loved Brookdale Sylvan Ranch. The apartment is smaller, but much more appropriate for somebody with her mental cognitive condition. It's also not just an ugly brown box. I like that the shower is not in her room. The facility gave us an $[removed]credit for our first month since [community removed] did not give us any money back. Mom's apartment was supplied with a brand new toilet brand new sink, brand, new air, conditioner, brand new flooring and paint as the prior resident had lived there for eight years. The staff is always got somebody engaged with the residence every time I come there I see that. They have a schedule written down so the residence can see what time something is happening. They don't all sit in a huge one room dining area. They have separate kitchens for each of the four wings of apartments. All the sidewalks lead to a minimum of two doors well rather one door to get in so they're never lost. The staff is very very friendly. Some of my favorite workers that [community removed] let go when they changed directors are working at this place and I was so relieved because they're fantastic workers. I can call and someone will bring the phone to my mom so I can talk to her. The residents are always being engaged instead of just left to their own devices, sitting there with nothing to stimulate them. There are more people at mom's cognitive level so she can have conversations with people. Mom has had to be sent to emergency room twice while I was out of state and all nursing staff were accessible and answered many questions and I felt very blessed with their care of Mom through the whole thing.

My husband needed a memory care facility. The hospital had A Place For Mom reach out to me to help me find such a place. I toured Brookdale in Topeka and was treated so well. I loved the facility and knew I wanted my husband there. [name removed]did a lot of "hand holding" with me and was able help guide me through this difficult time in our families life. He explained the process and has gone above and beyond. He knew how stressed I was and his wealth of knowledge was so helpful.

The staff cares and it shows, always happy, they actually know their clients, so it feels like family. Facility is very very clean and smells good. Very open communication if I have concerns. I'm so glad that I found them. [name removed] and [name removed] are the best!

We reviewed seven facilities before selecting Brookdale for my wife of 50+ years that has frontal lobe dementia. After two tours and interviews with multiple staff members, from leadership to the folks in the "trenches," we were thoroughly impressed with the whole operation. The words I find best to describe are friendly, attentive, responsive, and most of all they truly care about every resident in both the regular assisted living unit and very much more so for the Clare Bridge memory care unit. I can say in my view, after six plus months of memory care for my wife, the staff at Brookdale still exhibit and continue to reinforce my reasons for choosing this facility over all the others. My wife is happy, comfortable with all the staff, and continues to "enjoy the quality of life" we all collectively hoped for. Please pass my personal thanks to all the staff at Brookdale for all their dedication to making this happen-thank you to "A Place for Mom!"

Each time I visit my aunt in Brookdale’s Memory Care area, she is happy, clean, well-fed and talking about the staff as her friends. She tells me ‘my apartment and this place just feel like home’. It continues to be a wonderful place for her to enjoy living.

It was clean. No smells. All of the staff was friendly, kind to those living there and happy. We liked that it was all on one level for easy exiting in case of an emergency. The apartments were a very nice size with plenty of storage for what they will need. We were impressed by the pool table room with a wall full of pictures of current residents who are veterans. So nice that they honor their service. They also had a room with two resident cats. So those living there can go down anytime of the day or night and play with Oliver and Charlie. The whole atmosphere was kind and friendly and caring, and it was super decorated for fall. Some of the staff come back in after they celebrate Christmas with their families to be with the residents who did not leave the facility for the holiday. Sales manager was open and full of all of the information we needed, and we decided that when my mother is ready that is the place we would like her to go.

I wish there was more staff on weekends. Depends on cooks she likes it and when it isn't warm enough she tells them. Lots of activities, she stays busy. Hard to get in and out on weekends. Sometimes have to wait 10 minutes to get back in lots of people complain about that but she loves the people and place.

The time I spent with [name removed] was so informing. She spent time with me until all my questions were answered. It is so obvious to me that the Keizer River Road faculty is ran very efficiently. I know my Mother will be a great fit and most importantly that she will be well taken care of. We did put her on the wait list and looking forward to her being there.

Really nice place. People were very friendly and helpful. My sister and her husband choose home health for now. Will keep you in mind for future reference.

The staff is excellent- very professional, competent and caring. There are off premises trips for those interested in going- with the residents suggesting places they'd like to go. Daily in-house activities include bingo, crafts, board and card games, Friday night movies in the theater room. Guests musical performances and church services are offered. It's a huge transition for a new resident (like my mother) but with the help of such caring people around, she is making the adjustment from home to "new home".

Both the staff and residents were very friendly and the place was clean and inviting. I was really impressed with what I saw. I like the variety of activities that they offer and they they will drive you on to doctors appointments on Tuesday. The dining room was more like a restaurant and people had many choices about what they could eat. The community rooms had books and puzzles available along with big TVs for watching movies or whatever you wanted.

Everything was very good. Staff were always helpful. Caretakers were kind. Some especially considerate. She never needed anything, but then my Mom never asked. The place was very clean. No odor anywhere! Here apartment was perfect for her. We brought her furniture so she could feel more at home. Lots of activities. I have no complaints, but it is time for her to come home. In the next few days I will be giving Brookdale my 30 day notice. The family wants the remaining time of her life to be with family as much as possible.

Mother was reluctant to move into assisted living at Brookdale Harrisburg but after speaking with [name removed] she realized that she needed more care than we were able to supply in her home. It was a bit of an adjustment but Mother has settled in and is occupied most of the day. She recently became a big winner at Yatzee and was on cloud nine! The staff is attentive and helpful when issues regarding Mother's health arise. I have and will continue to recommend APFM and Brookdale to others.

They are very caring and accommodating! I'm not sure about the food however the room was very nice and spacious. I would recommend the community to others.

Facility was clean and the clients were friendly. They appeared to be quite happy with their surroundings. [name removed] kindly took us on a tour and explained the options of living at Brookdale Hendersonville East.

This facility and staff is simply outstanding. It is clean, the food is great, and the entire staff has made my father feel right at home. They quickly care for all his needs and make adjustments when necessary. He has made many friends doing the activities they have planned each day. He also enjoys their exercise class. We are so thankful he is able to live here.
